Wayfarer (provided by VERBUM LOGOS LTD, "we," "our," or "Company") is a Scripture-based companion app built to support your spiritual journey. We take your privacy seriously. Your relationship with God is personal — and so is the data you share with this app.

1. What We Collect

Information You Provide

• Name — used to personalize daily prayers and companion greetings
• Mood selections — used to match you with appropriate companions and content

Automatically Collected

• Crash reports — anonymous error data to improve app stability
• Basic usage analytics — anonymous feature usage to understand what helps users most (e.g., which screens are opened, not what you write or read)
• Subscription status — managed by RevenueCat to provide premium access

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your journal entries, prayer reflections, or any content you write
• We do not collect which excerpts or stories you read
• We do not track your location
• We do not access your contacts, photos, or files
• We do not use advertising identifiers
• We do not sell, share, or monetize your data — ever

3. Where Your Data Lives

The majority of your data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. This includes:

• Journal entries and personal reflections
• Highlights and saved passages
• Mood history
• Reading progress and streaks

This data stays on your device. If you uninstall the app, it is permanently deleted. We do not have access to it and cannot retrieve it.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

• RevenueCat — subscription management and payment processing
• PostHog — anonymous usage analytics (no personal data)
• Sentry — anonymous crash reporting
• Expo — app updates and build infrastructure
• Cloudflare R2 — audio file hosting

These services have their own privacy policies. We select providers that align with responsible data practices.

5. Advertising

Wayfarer contains no advertisements. We will never interrupt your time in Scripture with ads. This is a foundational commitment, not a temporary policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Wayfarer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your local data at any time by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of any cloud-stored data, email us at support@thewayfarer.app and we will process your request within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or on this page. Continued use of Wayfarer after changes constitutes acceptance.
