By downloading or using Wayfarer ("the app"), provided by VERBUM LOGOS LTD ("we", "us", or "Company"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of the App

Wayfarer is a Scripture-based companion app designed for personal spiritual growth. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the app or its content
• Attempt to extract or scrape content from the app

2. Content

Scripture

Scripture quotations in Wayfarer use the World English Bible (WEB) translation, which is in the public domain. No copyright restrictions apply to these passages.

Companion Narratives

First-person companion stories, prayers, insights, and response paths are original content created for Wayfarer. This content is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used outside the app without written permission.

User Content

Journal entries, highlights, and other content you create within the app remain yours. We do not claim ownership of your personal reflections. All user-created content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Wayfarer offers both free and premium tiers.

• Free tier — Daily prayer, select Armory content, and core features are available at no cost, forever.
• Premium tier — Available as an annual subscription. Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Cancellation — You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — Refund policies are governed by Apple or Google's respective store policies.

4. Not Professional Counseling

Wayfarer is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or medical advice. While our content addresses themes like depression, anxiety, grief, and addiction, it does so through a spiritual and pastoral lens. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or call your local emergency services.

5. Daily Challenges

Wayfarer includes companion-led daily challenges — practical, Scripture-rooted suggestions designed to encourage spiritual growth and the application of faith. These challenges are spiritual encouragement only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind — including but not limited to medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.

You acknowledge that:

• All challenges are voluntary. You are never required to complete a challenge.
• You exercise your own judgment and discretion in deciding whether and how to act on any challenge.
• Challenges are written from the perspective of biblical companions and are intended for personal reflection and spiritual development.
• We are not responsible for any actions you take, or choose not to take, in response to a challenge.
• If a challenge relates to an area where you need professional support (e.g., mental health, addiction, relational conflict), you should consult a qualified professional before acting.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VERBUM LOGOS LTD shall not be held liable for any loss, harm, injury, or damages — direct or indirect — arising from or related to actions taken in response to daily challenges presented in the app.

6. Data

Your content is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your journal entries, prayer reflections, or reading history. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data.

7. Availability

We strive to keep Wayfarer available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

Wayfarer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or on this page. Continued use of Wayfarer after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
